bramblekit blinked in the harsh morning light streaming into the nursery. her adopted mother, sorrelflight, lay in the far corner of the nursery, seemingly trying to get as far away from bramblekit as possible. a muscle near her eyes twitched as brambleberry fastened her emerald green gaze on her.
"tell me about my mama." she said in a gurgling, cute kit voice. but even if she acted her cutest around sorrelflight, she was still hated. for reasons she dudn't quite understand.
sorrelflight let out a disgusted snort.
"she was a traitor to the clan, mating with a rouge. good for nothing. i hated her." sorrelflight said haughtily.
