They're locking up the sun, the light of reason gone,
N' hope has been succesfully undone
The question's burning on, where is it coming from,
No-one seems to know the monster born
His black pelt rippled softly, contrasting against the white marble rock that was behind him.His light yellow orbs were blank, staring into the arctic but not really seeing anything.Clouds gathered above me,crackling with electricity, rumbling. They moved sluggishly, like a content feline.
's a bad trip on a sinking ship, when no-one seems responsible
Scapegoat to rock the boat, yeah, we need someone expendable
Volunteers to face the fears, can we be sensible
And find a way to break the fall, find out the cure for all
Reaper had the looks to match his name;a silky black pelt that was as dark as a moonless night, his yellow eyes haunting, his pads bloody, claws sharp. But he wasn't like his name,he would kill, never would he do so,not after what happened last.
The time was early morn' the sun not showing it self yet.The clouds would cover it even if it did rise, shadowing all hope from the world, defying it of the light it so desired. The sky's would cry then,it's tears pummeling the earth with a tremendous power.
The life as a loner was one that was dangerous, yet it held something. You had to learn to care for yourself,to face the cruel world without dieing. Most loners respected the clan cats, but it wasn't the life for them.Especially Reaper;he would care too much for the cats there and break down if they were lost,or injured,or harmed on the inside like he was.
Is there a hero somewhere, someone who appears and saves the day
Someone who holds out a hand and turns back time
Is there a hero somewhere, someone who will never walk away
Who doesn't turn a blind eye to a crime
Lighting crackled ,lighting up the darkened sky.Thunder rumbled, roaring like a lethal monster. The storm was coming fast, tearing up the land, beating the land with it's liquid drops. They hadn't reached Reaper yet,but they would soon.
They're locking up the sun, they have their chosen one,
You know this time they'll make him play along
They're taking to the arms, the fathers and their sons,
There's nowhere left to run and hide
The bombay cross's pelt bristled with the electricity in the air, making him look more threatening then before. His tail flicked lazyily behind him, sweeping the layer of dust off the dirt. This area was the haunt of no other cat,and he could quite see why;most cat loathed the iciness of the land.
It's a bad trip on a sinking ship, when no-one seems responsible
Scapegoat to rock the boat, yeah, we need someone expendable
Volunteers to face the fears, can we be sensible
And find a way to break the fall, find out the cure for all
The rain would hit him soon, but he didn't care.Let the tears of the sky wash away his sins, wash away his mistakes.Oh,so many mistakes he had made.Like losing Patchedmemory, his MountainClan mate.He had protected her, never leaving her truly alone, but then just when he had thought her safe..she had been killed,or chased away.
Is there a hero somewhere, someone who appears and saves the day
Someone who holds out a hand and turns back time
Is there a hero somewhere, someone who will never walk away
Who doesn't turn a blind eye to a crime
The burning ran finally hit him, running down his pelt, not quite sinking in yet, like so many things hadn't.His eyes finally saw what was in front of him and he turned, closing his clouded pools.Reaper slowly rose, turning to go back into the cave, the scent of Patchedmemory filling his nose, but it couldn't be....she was dead.
And in the emptiness, there's a solution,
Just look within yourself for absolution
