Hi! I'm kinda new here, so I just have a few questions. If you don't mind.
1. Could you tell me a little bit bout what's happening?
2. How many cats do you have? 3. How often do you change your skin?

I don't mind at all =]
1. Roughly 3 years before, the original Clans were wiped out in a nuclear twoleg war, but after some time, the forests recovered. But the chemicals that were used are mutating the animals, causing some to have strange colors and patterns. TornadoClan is located on a flat plain, where most of the twoleg fighting took place, which is why their coats are the most elaborate, while MountainClan resides, obviously, far up in the mountains, away from the fighting, which is why their coats are normal. Right now, the plot is that a cat of the Dark Forests takes over StarClan and causes the Clans to go into a terrible battle against each other, with their hopes resting on the shoulders of just one cat (whom will remain a secret ;D)
2. You can have as many cats as you can keep active, and the current number that we have, I'm not sure of xD
3. I change the skin anytime something major occurs, such as the changing of seasons in North America (where I live), whenever a major holiday is near, or whenever a major date in Roleplay is approaching. So, roughly a new skin every few months or so-- but if there was one skin you liked, you can always access it in your profile, under the Skin settings.

What about TwilightClan and SunsetClan? Are they oddly colored too?

Yes, TwilightClan and SunsetClan are oddly colored too.

Any of the Clan cats (except MountainClan) can have any kind of pattern on their coats.
They are categorized based on coat colors.
