Citrus is a very cute kit. She is a tiny cat, and will only be the size of an apprentice when she's full grown. She's long and lean for her size, and she will most likely be a great hunter. Her paws are small and dainty, with short, curved claws. She's shorthaired, but her fur is silky smooth when clean.
Citrus's fur has four fruity colored swirls on a black base. On her head, there's a grapefruit pink spiral that covers most of the back, and goes over her right ear. A long, orange swirl wraps around her tail, the color of tangerines. The same type of marking spins around her legs. Her front left leg and rear right have lemony yellow lines, and her front right and left back legs have lime green ones. On her sides and back, she has swirls of all four colors. Her eyes are a gorgeous light blue. When she's happy, they sparkle the color of a bright, cloudless, mid-day sky.

Xx.:Personality:.xX
Citrus used to be a very fun and outgoing kit, until her parents died. Now she is very shy, and wary of others. She's jumpy and can get scared at the littlest things. She doesn't usually trust others, but she's more open to other kits around her age. What she really needs is a friend who will stick with her and help her return back to her normal, happy self, instead of this poor, scared kitten. She is terrified of badgers, as they are the ones who killed her parents.
Xx.:History:.xX
Citrus was born the only child of her mother, Clementine. Clementine was a bright, neon orange she-cat, with bright pink eyes. Her father was a tom named Marker, who was light green with glowing yellow eyes. Clementine and Marker fell in love at first site, and soon Clementine was pregnant with kits. It was early dawn when Citrus was born, and when the two parents saw the dark furred kit with the bright fruity swirls, they named her after the sweet and sour foods the colors represented. Citrus's life with her mother and father was great. They all loved each other, and were very happy.
Until the attack.
One day the trio had gone for a walk through their forest home, when they smelled a strange scent. Curiously following the trail, they walked up to a large black and white animal they had never seen before. A large badger towered over the cats, and lunged for the nearest one, Clementine. Citrus watched in horror as the orange she-cat was massacred in front of her. Marker leapt on the massive mammal in rage as it dropped his mate's limp, red body on the hard ground. He told his daughter to run, but just as he finished his words, the badger finished him. Scarred and scared for life, the poor kit ran and ran until she came across an open moor...
A spiral patterned she-kit burst out of the tree line and onto the flat moorlands. She didn't care where she was going, she just wanted to get away from the horrible scene behind her. She had no idea weather the badger was following her or not, all her focus went into running. Tears streamed from her face as the mental pictures of her parents' limp, bloody bodies whipped through her mind like the wind whipped through her fur as she raced over the tough grass. Clementine's and Marker's neon orange and green pelts were now stained red by the horrible, sticky liquid.
By now her breathing had grown quite heavy from her crying and tiredness. Citrus kept running though, and didn't know when she would stop. All of a sudden she slammed into a large, furry body. Backing away immediately, she looked up to see what she crashed into. It was a cat, a rainbow striped one. Hoping she was safe with this cat, she slumped to the ground and placed her paws over her head.
"Please!" She gasped desperately. "Please... help... me!"
The striped cat bristled his fur when she ran into him, but calmed down as he realized it was just a harmless kit.

"Please!" She gasped desperately. "Please... help... me!"
The striped cat bristled his fur when she ran into him, but calmed down as he realized it was just a harmless kit.
"I will help, but first calm down and explain." He mewed, seeming annoyed. He placed his tail tip on her head in an attempt to get Citrus to settle down. She tried to steady her breathing and voice.
"B-Badger," She mewed softly, feeling lightheaded from so much running and so little breathing. "My parents..." She swallowed. "Gone." Tears still streamed down her face through all of this. The memories were still so fresh in her mind.
When Citrus turned around to check for any threats, her eyes grew as wide as possible and she completely froze.
There it was.
At the forest's edge there was a blurry, black shape. It looked so tiny from here, but she knew from it's proportion to the trees behind it that it was the murderer. It was growing in size as it neared closer to the group of cats. She squealed in terror at the sight of her family's killer and hoped against hope that this cat could help her in some way.
"Stay low and away,"
Citrus shrank back at the zebra striped tom's words. He bolted towards the bloody creature with a fierce yowl. He sank his long claws into the black and white animal's skin and ripped its flesh. The badger let out a fearsome howl and tried to pry off it's attacker. The little kit watched the older cat fight the large menace. He fought with so much rage it seemed he and this badger had been long time enemies and he finally had his chance to get even.
It scared her.
Killing just to kill and killing for revenge were very different. This murdered her parents just because he saw them and they were in his way. This zebra cat was attacking even meaner because he had a reason. Whether it be to protect her, avenge her parents, or his own reasons, he scared her the way he fought this creature.
Citrus watched as the badger finally fell to his death with the zebra warrior still on his back. He sprang off of the lifeless animal and padded over to her and once again placed his tail tip on the little kit's head.
"You're safe little one," He meowed calmly. She was still shaking in fear, and now from cold as rain poured down from the once clear sky. Suddenly she heard another cat coming towards them, and then felt a tongue rasp along her back. She jumped in surprise, and turned to see a tie dyed looking she-cat.
"I'll carry her. You can tell me what happened later. But right now, we need to get out of this rain. Quick!" The rainbow cat mewed to the zebra cat. The female feline picked Citrus up by the scruff and raced with her to a tunnel she had never seen before. She waited at the entrance, apparently for the other cats. Citrus sneezed from the cold, and she was still shaking.
She had finally stopped shaking when once again Citrus was lifted from the ground and taken somewhere else. It got increasingly darker and cooler as the rainbow cat led her farther into the tunnel. She sneezed a couple more times, as she was already wet and it was colder now. Finally the two entered a large open space in the tunnel, which was oddly lit up and warmer than the surrounding areas. An overwhelming scent of cats rushed into her nose, and when she looked around she saw more cats than she had ever seen before, and now all of them were staring at her. She sneezed again, and now they had entered a smaller niche in the underground wall, where she smelled many plants, although most of them she had never smelled before. The tie dye cat laid her down near the middle of the room, and began licking her fur the wrong way. It felt uncomfortable, but it did warm her up a bit. Now she was placed in a small bed of moss, and the strange cat began sifting through those plants she had scented earlier. Her body had grown more limp, and her breathing less hard. In fact, it was very quiet, and shallow. She now realized how weak and tired she really was. She didn't feel good at all, the scary scenes that had played just minutes before still stuck in her mind no matter how hard she tried to block them out, and now it made her queazy. She closed her eyes for a moment wishing none of this had ever happened.
