Kiyoko is not like your average fox. She too, was affected by the radiation, like many of the cats in Konara Forests. Her long fur has a base color of black. The "socks" commonly seen on average red foxes are usually black, but hers are a strange rainbow coloring. The colors fade into each other like this. To go along with her odd fur colors, she has odd markings. On her left flank, there are outlines of three stars of different sizes. Surrounding her right eye, there is another similar star. All of these stars have the same rainbow colors as her socks, and so does the tip of her tail. Her fur is extremely soft and smooth, like silk and feathers. Kiyoko's eyes are bright gold, and shimmer beautifully even in the dark. Her paw pads are black, as well as her claws. She's naturally skinny, and not underfed. Her long legs enable her to be incredibly fast.

The best word to describe Kiyoko is strong. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. She won't back down from a challenge, and always stands her ground. In an argument, she won't give up just because her side is losing.
Most cats think foxes are ruthless killers, and in many cases, it's true. But Kiyoko is very friendly, and doesn't like to kill, although she easily could. She likes battling as a sport, not to injure, but she will if she needs too.
Kiyoko is very smart and cunning, matching foxes' reputation. She likes thinking up new fighting moves and strategies.
In her spare time she likes to collect things to keep in her den. Her collection includes feathers, shells, stones, and various twoleg trinkets she has found scattered throughout and around the forest.

Kiyoko was born to a pair of red foxes named Yumi and Isamu. They had two kits: Kiyoko and Kazuo. They had met during a meeting held every newleaf where foxes everywhere gather for mating season. It is common tradition for the male fox to stay with his mate until the kits are born and she is able to care for them on her own. Then the vixens stay at the gathering and teach their kits the skills needed to fend for themselves. This usually lasts until the young are about six moons old, then the mother and her children separate, each going their own ways.
Kazuo was born a red fox like his parents, but Kiyoko was born a a rare black fox. She was the stronger of the siblings. Kazuo was more reserved and kept to himself. Most foxes are solitary animals, but Kiyoko's brother was more so than normal. He didn't like training at all, but he did it reluctantly, as he knew he would never be able to survive without it. The two were never really close. In fact, none of the family was. The kits had never known their father, although her mother told them about him. At the yearly meetings, Isamu was the leader of the group. He was the strongest male there, and he picked Yumi because she was the strongest female. Their relationship was short, as most are; the mates almost never stick together.
When the family split up, Kiyoko traveled a long way without knowing where she was going. About a moon after her departure, she arrived in Konara Forests. The young black vixen found a vacant den of a previous fox. The scent was very stale, no one had been there for moons. When she awoke in the morning, she found a puddle nearby and bent down for a drink. What she saw in her reflection surprised her, and she jumped back.
"What in the world?" Around her right eye, there was the outline of a star. What was even weirder about it was its rainbow color. She dipped her paw in the water and rubbed it over her face to try to clear it off, but it seemed permanent.
How did this happen? Although she wanted to know how it got there, she had to admit it was pretty cool. As she spent more and more time in her new home, more and more markings appeared on her fur. The night after the star was found, her back left leg grew a sock of the same coloring. After another week in the forest she had rainbow socks on all of her legs, her tail tip, and three star outlines on her left flank, as well as the one over her eye. She still had no idea why they appeared, but she liked them. They didn't seem to have any side affects that came along with them, so she figured they were safe.
Soon after she had seen many cats with the same type of mutated colors. Some even had wings, piercings, and powers! She had studied these strange cats, and finally learned to speak their language. By spending so much time in this place, her scent had grown somewhat mixed with cat scent, so you could still detect a trace of both.
Kiyoko had grown used to these animals, and was not hostile towards them. When she faced them, she surprised them when she spoke to them in their own tongue, and that got her on some of their good sides.
Kiyoko still resides in Konara Forests to this day.
