• Physical description (if no picture is available): Darkhope has short, silky back fur with the dark gray spotted/striped pattern of an Egyptian Mau, with the faint tracery of a spiral on his forehead. He has dark green eyes. If angry they brighten to neon green. He is lithe and slim, slightly smaller than average. He has one long, faint scar down each flank. On his chest is a scar in the shape of a star. All these are reminders of what happens when you fall out with your Matriarch and colony. His left ear has a small notch in it. His nose is slightly larger than normal and is dark red / balck with a faded pink scar across it.

• Personality: He is a quiet cat who used to speak his mind, but as he grew older became secretive and cunning. Many of the other cats found his presence made them nervous and were hostile towards him. He always looked at both sides of an argument which annoyed many cats. He listened and picked up many dangerous tidbits of information.He is now good at keeping secrets. He never gives up and can carry hurt and anger inside him to keep him going. He treats all cats and other animals with mistrust and caution. This makes him a dangerous cat. He is adept at keeping his emotions secret. Recently though that sadness, hurt and anger has been keeping him going, and fueling him, but it is fading as he begins to look at the other cats argument. If those feelings fade, he doesn't know what will keep him going.
  
  
• History: He was born into Twilight colony and lived there until he was seven moons old. He was named for his fur and his mothers belief that he could uphold her hopes for him. The small tracery of a spiral on his forehead was natural and unnerved the cats because of a cult member who carves spirals on trees. Even when he was a kit, his uncanny ability to fade into the shadows and appear when one least expected it even unnerved the prowlers, whose ability to turn invisible were prised. He was doing well until he was about six moons old. He then had his first dream of cats that walked the sky. He kept it secret at first. But then the cats told him when there would be disasters. He soon found out that the cult had cats who had dreams like his.He started to formulate a plan to join them. As he could talk to no cats about them he would often sit in the branches of a tree and talk to himself. But one day a passing cat heard him and talked to the Matriarch about him. The night he was due to leave the cats ambushed him. They tried to kill him and carved a star on his back to show him that his dreams could not predict true things. He managed to escape and ran off. He lives alone now and even the cult, who heard the story can not get him to return. He is alone now.
  
  
• Relationships: None, he stays away from other cats because he is worried if he runs into a cat from his old colony he will kill them.
  
  
• Other tidbits: He can fade into the shadows easily and that means he is hard to see. He has taught himself how to treat injuries and has dreams about cats he calls the starcats. He only is out and awake in the night, as after so many moons in the dark he would go blind in the light. He loves the cold and snow, although this pelt is short and not very thick, he has become used to it.
