`` I'll show you how to live [/s] [[ and teach you how to die Timestar came to the Spruce Ridge, where a little more light came in, and there were soft pine needles underpaw. Here he could train Ancientpaw in peace, on the soft ground. He waited for the small tom to catch up, and groomed a bir from an ice blue paw. Yellow eyes scanned the darkness, no doubt looking like two lost lights in the expanse of shadow. Timestar padded over the needles softly, practicing his ability of silence as he walked. Coming under a tree, he focused a moment on the ground around him before softly becoming invisible, transparent and unseeable. He would test his apprentice first off, and see where they needed to go from there. [/blockquote]

A blur of indigo fur rushed out of the camp. Ears pricked and alert for anything out of the ordinary. Ancientpaw closed his ice blue eyes and sniffed the area. There was a smell that he had scented out earlier. "Nice try Timestar." The small apprentice padded up to a dark spot and brushed his tail against the flank of his leader and mentor. Ancientpaw looked at his mentor and waited for him to say something. The apprentice was happy that he was going to be in such good paws. Ancientpaw liked being in TwilightClan. He looked at his mentor, "Timestar can you tell me more about my mother, Sparkletongue, and Locusclaw, my father?" He waited for his leader to try to answer his question.

`` I'll give you all I have to give [/s] [[ and pray you will survive[/s]. The leader watched as Ancientpaw drew closer, and smiled faintly as the young tom identified him. The leader focused a moment, his fur showing once more, though it didn't make much of a difference in this territory. Bright, lemon colored eyes studied the apprentice a moment, trying to think of an answer. Ah, yes, he remembered Sparkletongue and Locusclaw, it had been a bit since they passed though. Timestar sifted back through the memories, wondering if he still remembered.
"From what I recall, they were very brave, Ancientpaw. Fearless, courageous, intelligent. Their attributes are already showing in you."
Timestar assured him. Looking over a little ways, he saw a vole that had ventured up from the dark depths of the forest floor, and instantly became invisible by habit. Voles could see well at night just like the cats could, but their smelling and hearing often tipped them that a predator was near.
"Focus on the air or the ground a moment, Ancientpaw. There's a vole about three foxlengths away."

Ancientpaw saw the vole. He bunched his muscles together and he crept forward silently and flicked his tail back and forth. The he leapt just as the vole shot away, but the vole was too slow. Ancientpaw returned to his mentor and leader with the vole in his jaws and dropped it in front of his paws. "I never knew how to hunt, but it seemed to come to me naturaly." He had listened as Timestar said the attributes of his parents and then he curled his lip. "Timestar there is something that you and the other cats aren't telling me. You all get uncomfortable when I even mention my parents. Tell me the truth about them!" The small apprentice was afraid at what he was going to hear, but he wanted to hear it all the same.

`` May your heart fly with open wings [/s] [[ into the perilous skies.[/s] Timestar watched proudly as Ancientpaw captured the vole with ease, and brought it back to be dropped at his paws.
"Yes, you seem to be a born hunter."
He watched a little concernedly as the apprentice's face twisted, and wondered if there was anything he may have missed. Ah, the apprentice's demand explained it. The leader shifted in and out of visibility as he thought. There were so many things inside his head, so many memories, he didn't know where to look. But he finally found some sort of answer that would have to do.
"To be honest, I don't remember them very well, Ancientpaw. But I'm sure you will find out more in time..."
I know I did. Looking for the moon a moment, it seemed to be just at or just after midnight, and he turned back to his apprentice.
"Let's see those fighting moves of yours."
Timestar mrrowed, before becoming sleekly invisible and walking soundlessly around the kit in circles.

Ancientpaw sighed, "What's the point? I want to know about my parents, but I guess my parents were backstabbing mouse-brains and..." he stopped and turned away from his mentor. The little apprentice couldn't believe that no one would tell him about his parents. What did Sparkletongue and Locusclaw do? Did they betray their Clan and kill their Clanmates? Did they run away? Ancientpaw hated that no cat wanted to tell him about his parents.

`` I may not have the answers [/s] you need... [[ but in time[/s] it will all make sense. Timestar stalked about in circles but stopped when the apprentice didn't respond. 'What's the point? I want to know about my parents, but I guess my parents were backstabbing mouse-brains and...'. The leader had another concerned look upon his navy blue masked face, the bright yellow eyes showing concern. He tried hard to remember what had happened to the apprentice's parents. Sometimes not having a good rememberence of things had its backfires.
"They were not backstabbers, I know that. But they were intelligent and smart. Then they just disappeared one day, and nobody knows what happened after that..."
Timestar frowned a moment before continuing.
"It seems unsettling and unnerving now not to know, but in time StarClan reveals all..."
The leader playfully batted Ancientpaw's ear before leaping soundlessly to the other side.
"Are you sure you don't want to train and make them proud?"

Ancientpaw looked at Timestar with carefully guarded eyes. Then he leapt at his mentor and started wrestling him. The apprentice's sudden depression disappeared as he rough housed with his mentor. He started purring and replyed, "I want my parents back Timestar. No matter what it takes I will find them. Will you help me Timestar?" Ancientpaw had heard Timestar when he said that he didn't really know Sparkletongue or Locusclaw.
OOC: Sorry I snapped at you in the CBox. I was just mad at something stupid.

[[you snapped at me in the Cbox? hm I never noticed..oh well! xD]] `` Show the world what you're capable [/s] of... [[ but remember those who lead the way[/s]. Timestar relaxed greatly as the apprentice seemed to relax and calm himself, and he kicked carefully at the apprentice, not very hard. But he did deliver a playbite to his ear before stepping away with a chuckle.
"You are courageous, and that will lead you to them in time. I will help you, but there will only be so much I can do."
Timestar became visible and offered a smile to Ancientpaw.
"Sometimes it's our destiny not to know something."
With that said, Timestar prowled around Ancientpaw in a slow circle.
"Try to knock me off my feet, Ancientpaw."
He asked him, sometimes suddenly flickering invisible before reappearing on the other side of Ancientpaw. He had a feeling the apprentice would make a good warrior.

Ancientpaw decided not to usee his eyes to try and find Timestar, but his nose and his ears. The indigo apprentice closed his ice blue eyes and waited. He could hear Timestar shifting around him in never stopping circles, but Ancientpaw wanted to time it just right. The small indigo apprentice then pinpointed the next possible place where Timestar would most likely stop at. He opened his eyes and jumped and...

``See with your mind [[ Instead of your eyes Timestar watched with satisfaction as Ancientpaw didn't try to see him with his eyes. In time, the apprentice would be able to train himself to see the ever so incredibly faint outline of an invisible cat, like the wavering air above a heated rock. Until then, his ears and nose would have to fill in.
Timestar flinched in suprise as Ancientpaw lept at him just right, and leaned to the side but didn't fall.
"Very good! You're learning fast! Now let's see you try to turn invisible."
That was an essential part of being a TwilightClan cat, being able to turn invisible (and visible again) at will. Though, until he had more practice, the apprentice might only be able to turn a little bit, like a paw or ear or his tail at a time. Timestar wondered if he'd pick that up as quickly as the fighting moves.

Ancientpaw nodded and closed his eyes once more. He felt a funny prickling sensation and then opened his eyes. He saw that half his body was invisible, but the other half was visible. "Well that takes care of that. Now we both know that I can turn invisible, but it seems that I didn't turn invisible all the way." The apprentice yawned and as he did so the back half of his body reappeared and he went on, "I'm tired. May I go back to the camp and sleep now?" Ancientpaw didn't know if he had a done a good job or not.

Timestar watched in the dark as the apprentice focused, and half of him became invisible. He was suprised, usually an apprentice could only get a limb or a patch invisible, but half? Ancientpaw had something to him that made him very intelligent. Timestar nodded approvingly, though they would have to train so that all of him could disappear. The leader thought a moment.
"Yes, you may go and rest now. It's almost daytime anyway."
The tom's eyes looked up at the skies, noticing they were becoming lighter, a hint of dawn showing. He yawned as well, eager to return to his mossy den to sleep the day away, as was normal within TwilightClan. The blue toned leader stood and led the way back to the camp, tail flicking occasionally.
[[we can continue this after they have their beauty sleep xD]] [/blockquote]

Ancientpaw rushed back to the camp and into the apprentice den. This was his first time in the den and he couldn't wait to snag his nest. Ancientpaw snagged a nest closer to the center and curled up in it putting his tail over his nose. Then he was awake and he rushed back to Timestar, "I forgot my manners. Goodnight Timestar." He turned and rushed back to his nest and fell asleep and dreamed of being a great warrior one day. He purred as he settled into a deep sleep and waited for Timestar to wake him again.

Timestar crept up onto the Great Stump and padded into the small rock cave inside, settling himself into his nest of deer hide from a hunt. There he closed his eyes, but opened one lemon yellow eye as Ancientpaw ran back to say good night, closing it with a slight purr. There he slept the day away, as a sunbeam came in and warmed his dark pelt, and as the sun began to set, the leader woke and stretched thoroughly, shaking his pelt free of deer hairs. He padded down to the apprentice's den and gently nosed Ancientpaw awake before padding back out and heading for the fresh-kill pile. A small deer had been taken down by a large group of warriors, and Timestar began to help himself to the breakfast. [/blockquote]

Ancientpaw slowly woke up and a short while later he joined his mentor at the fresh-kill pile. He saw the deer and licked his chops. "May I join you Timestar?" The apprentice never had deer before and this would be a good experience for him. He sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws and waited for a reply patiently. Ancientpaw knew that he would never get anywhere without permission. He wanted to do his best serving his Clan, his leader, and his mentor. Timestar had earned Ancientpaw's respect 100% and Ancientpaw wanted to befriend the older tom.

Timestar had started to nibble at a leg, and looked up as Ancientpaw sat down and asked politely to eat with him. The tom swallowed his bite and answered.
"Sure, you don't even have to ask."
The leader replied with a smile. With that he pulled off a small bit of meat and ate it in quick, small bites. He finished up his bites and sat up, beginning to thoroughly groom every blue hair on his pelt. Licking over an ice blue paw, he drew it over a navy blue ear, relaxed and full. His lemon yellow eyes looked out, seeing more cats begin to emerge for food, and others beginning the patrols. Timestar smiled, seeing the sun fully disappear beneath the horizon of tall, dark pines. With that, the leader stood and shook his fur a moment, looking towards the camp entrance. He waited patiently for Ancientpaw to finish up, so they could begin. [/blockquote]

Ancientpaw dipped his head respectfully at his mentor and leader and took a bite from the deer. His head whipped up surprised. "Timestar this deer meat is good! I've never had it before." He took several more bites from the animal and licked his chops. Then he set about grooming his pelt and ridding himself of any dirt, moss, or food bits that may have settled on his pelt. Ancientpaw finished grooming himself and jumped up saying, "What are we doing today?"

Timestar smiled and looked up at the moon. It had barely moved, just now beginning to journey to midnight. The dark and light blue leader shook his pelt and looked at Ancientpaw a moment.
"We are going to train, silly. Though we'll probably focus on helping you turn invisible for a while."
With that, Timestar looked around a moment before setting off out of the camp entrance, his paws automatically recognising where he was headed, and taking him to the soft, pine needle lined hollow that was easy to train on. There he flicked his dark tail, lemon colored eyes watching the skies, always watching. Somehow, all this time he had spent with StarClan made him think, and wonder, and it fascinated him deeply. The leader kneaded his claws into the soft forest floor as he waited, a shadow twitching at the edge of his vision. Quickly, he looked, but nothing appeared to be there... Must be my imagination. With a shake, Timestar trotted in a circle, thinking of what he would train Ancientpaw in. [/blockquote]

Ancientpaw followed Timestar back out into the forest and watched as his mentor and leader circled around him. Ancientpaw saw Timestar look around and he looked around, but he saw nothing. He turned back to his leader and closed his eyes. Ancientpaw felt that prickle he had felt last night and he opened his eyes. "Well it seems I am getting better. Instead of half my body being invisible almost my whole body is invisible." The small apprentice purred with amuesment and then closed his eyes once more. Ancientpaw once again felt the prickle of his pelt and he was back to his normal self. "I want to practice more on my own with that. What's next Timestar?"
