A bright golden pelt climbed to the top of the hill out looking over the camp. Her shadow black whisps kept her blended in with the trees and bushes. Her vivid aqua eyes spotted much prey on her journey back to camp from the stream. She had gotten up early and had an early start on prey. She stopped at the top of the hill to rest her muzzle from carrying two fish, a mouse, and a vole. She had spotted a rabbit, but it had scented her before she had laid her prey softly down on the forest floor with scarying it away. Twisterwhisp looked over the camp of her home. Being the deputy meant more responsiblity that she knew she could handle. Her realization and courage made the ran easier, but the knowledge of knowing that one day she would be leader of SunsetClan made the rank exciting. She picked up the prey and started down the hill towards camp.

``it's hearing the voices on the wind ~ and not knowing where they're coming from... Disappearingact slunk along the shadows of the SunsetClan camp, camoflauging here and there. His coat was a fiery rustic red, with white here and there. Tabby markings wove in-between hairs on his forehead. The tom was trying to avoid being seen again, sticking to his namesake, it seemed. He started padding up the ridge, colorless thoughts flitting about in his head. He suddenly smelled prey behind him, lower on the ridge, and began stalking stealthily towards the smell. Maybe he'd bring back a meal.
Disappearingact could hear it moving, breathing, as it worked its way through the plants. He tried to imagine what it could be. A woodchuck? A beaver? It was big alright. With a coiled spring, Disappearingact sprung forward, slamming head on into Twisterwhisp before falling backwards with a yelp. He sprung to his paws, watching his deputy embarrassedly.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry...I-I d-didn't m-mean to..."
Oh snap.

Twisterwhisp looked down at Disappearingact, angry at first, but then softened her gaze. She dropped the prey to the grouond. "That's okay, Disappearingact. You smelt my prey, didn't you? Her bright golden pelt shimmered as the wind blew new scents over the ridge. Twisterwhisp lifted her muzzle for any unfamiliar scents. None flodded over her so she lowered her muzzle. "Want to help me take the prey back to camp?" She started to move her golden muzzle to the two fish and picked it up in her mouth. She nuzzled the mouse and vole over towards Disappearingact. "Here." She mewed around her mouthful of scales. She flicked her tail as she watched Disappearingact.

`` it's realizing I'm not alone [[ that scares me the most. The rusty red tom could barely speak and instead just bite his lip and nodded when Twisterwhisp suspected why he had collided with her. His eyes watched the prey she had with her. She had caught alot! As much as two warriors. And she was trying to carry it all back to the camp? Disappearingact twitched his nose in envy as she beckoned for him to help her. Nodding, the tom crouched and picked up the two rodents by their tails and began to pad his way through the tall grasses and reeds near their camp. He daydreamed a moment, wondering if RiverClan had ever walked this path. Maybe. A hidden dip in the ground made Disappearingact slip and stumble a moment, the vole falling from his jaws and rolling down the hill. He stood there a moment before stuttering out an "I'll get it" and raced down after it. What a clutz. [/blockquote]

Twisterwhisp carefully, but not slowly, down the hill. As Disappearingact stumbled she turned to him just to see the vole race down. She started after it, but stopped as she realized that it was her vole, but not her responsibility of retreiving it. She watched Disappearingact chase the dead vole down the hill and chuckled to herself as she continued down towards camp. Her golden pelt fluffed up as the wind blew the opposite way of her fur and carried her scent downwind towards the camp and Applestar, which she hoped would be awake by now. As Twisterwhisp became closer to camp she turned back to look at the top of the hill, scents flooded over her from prey and she glimpsed Disappearingact following along behind her to the side. She thought she was carrying the vole, but was unsure, she was too far away at the point. Twisterwhisp shook her fur flat again, from the wind and continued down the hill towards her beloved camp.

`` it's knowing I could have prevented it [[ that makes me regret the past The rustic red tom raced after the dead vole, and watched it disappear out of sight into a patch of reeds, and he heard a splash. Wrinkling his nose, Disappearingact stepped through the reeds, and found the vole muddy in a puddle from a summer's rain. Sighing, he set down the mouse and pulled the vole out with a paw, picking it up in his mouth and shaking it to see if he could dry it any. Otherwise, it would become crowfood. Shrugging, he picked up the mouse as well, and hurried after where he saw Twisterwhisp's tail showing above the tall reeds and grasses around the camp. He caught up to her and twitched his nose, before trotting down the hill and slipping under a log into the well-hidden camp inside. Most of the cats were out fishing at the lake, or on patrol, so he set his prey down at the pile, frowning at the wet vole. Oh well. [/blockquote]

Twisterwhisp hesitated at the bottome of camp. Was that a cat. Twisterwhisp put down the two fish and started, hesitantly, heading towards the screeches. She ran faster and faster until she rounded a bush and saw her leader, Applestar laying there, dying. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a black tail disappear behind a bush as it ran away, happy with its hunt. Twisterwhisp lain near Applestar. I'm leader! I'm leader! Oh, no, I'm LEADER?! I guess I can start by taking Applestar to camp. Twisterwhisp lifted her leader into her mouth, but when her eyes lain on Applestar's pelt, she let the body drop to the ground. She lifted Applestar back into her mouth and looked down at Applestar's wounds. There were several, a few on her side, forehead, and one long cut along her belly. That must be what killed her. Twisterwhisp moved along the path that she had come and dragged the body behind her. When Twisterwhisp reached camp, her golden pelt rippled with confusion, where was she to put the body. She had a flash back of when she was a warrior, Applestar always put dead bodies in the middle of the camp for cats to pay their respects. She dragged the cat to the middle of the camp, laid her on her side and hopped onto the meeting rock, and said the familiar words she knew only too well. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Meeting Rock for an important meeting." She watched as all of her clan gathered beneath her. "As you can see, Applestar is dead. A jaguar killed her as I was coming back from a hunt. I will head off to the Star Cave to recieve my nine lives and will make a Deputy tomorrow night after I return." Twisterwhisp looked down at Applestar. She jumped off the Meeting Rock and padded to Applestar. She lain down next to her, mourning. Tomorrow I'll go to the Star Cave and become leader of SunsetClan, but who will I make deputy?

A white and yellow she-cat walking around the forest, just enjoying the scenery. "This place is so lovely," she said, aloud. She didn't realize she did, because she had been so used the solitude of forest life in other areas. Tropicalbreeze at one point in her life had been a kittypet. Her Two-legs had taken her on a trip to the forest where they slept in skins held up on sticks. A bear had ravaged there form of a camp, and the Two-legs left her. She had run about the forest, trying to find somewhere to live. She taught herself to hunt, and sort of snapped inside. She went insane. She talked to herself and had strange visions. What she didn't know was Starclan was looking out for her. They helped her to find Sunsetclan, and with other cats around, she slowly gathered her sanity. She has a long way to go, but she'll get there eventually. She was snapped out of her reverie by some nearby comotion. She snuck up on the animals making the noise, and discovered Disappearingact and Twisterwhisp in a sort of fight. Apparently Disappearingact ran into Twisterwhisp. "And they call me crazy," she said laughing aloud. Neither of them had noticed her, and started heading back to camp. "Well, what else is there to do. I'm not hungry, and I'm a little tired. I have got to stop talking to myself!" she said, laughing aloud again. She went back to camp, to find Applestar dead, and Twisterwhisp freaking out inside. "Applestar's dead? But, but she can't die! Doesn't she have nine lives, and get healed when she dies? What's going on?" she said, freaking out, "Starclan must've punished up for something. But I'd better not say this aloud. It'll freak out the others." As she saw the others looking at her, she realized, "Crap! I thought out loud again, didn't I?" I really need to get a hold of this speaking out loud, she thought quietly.

`` everything is changing so fast [[ will the world ever be the same again?Disappearingact's ears perked as Twisterwhisp disappeared after an anguished cry from somewhere nearby. As she returned with a limp Applestar, Disappearingact's reddish jaw dropped a bit, and hurried to her side. Nosing her quietly, she didn't respond... She's gone.
Now the tom nosed her shoulder in respect, before looking up at Twisterwhisp on the meeting rock, a mixed expression on his face. Would she be a good leader? Would they take revenge on the predator? The questions buzzed in his brain, and cleared a moment when Tropicalbreeze announced her thoughts. Instead, he now felt worried, then angered.
"They wouldn't punish us! We didn't do anything wrong.....right?"
The rustic tom's eyes narrowed in suspicion at Tropicalbreeze, wondering what the crazy she-cat must have done this time. Hopefully nothing that would cause them harm in the long run. [/blockquote]

Twisterwhisp looked up from where she lay mourning next to Applestar. She hoped up on the Meeting Rock, figuring there would be many questions from the comotion she had heard. Twisterwhisp looked down at Tropicalbreeze. "No, I don't think StarClan is punishing us. We've done nothing wrong. It's just back luck. Applestar was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That's all." Twisterwhisp gazed worriedly on her clan and wondered if the jaguar would come back for more cats. "We're not going to take revenge, I'll set up more patrols along the area where I saw the jaguar leave and no apprentices will be allowed to go there for a few weeks." Twisterwhisp's golden pelt shook with the wind, carrying the last of Applestar's scent throughout the camp. She gave a silent yawn. "Tomorrow I will go to the Star Cave to recieve my nine lives and become Clan leader of SunsetClan." She leaped off the Meeting Rock and went into the Leader's Den.
