Alone. What a funny word. A word that meant so many things to a cat such as Thornpaw. While pacing through the shining forests of Starclan, Thornpaw still felt such feelings. No one was with him, not yet anyways. And yet, he had no desire to have company up here. He'd rather watch his former clanmates scuttle around in the living, enjoying their lives like he should had his.
Sighing, the young tom shook his head. It was nightime, and it was dark. It would be best to settle down and not think of such things. He was here, that was what was. That was what was to be, forever. The thought depressed him a bit, but Thornpaw pulled through.
Eventually, the shining tom circled around once, then laid down. Starclan wasn't so bad, but there was nothing to do here. No physical activities, nothing needed to be done. It was like a great big weight pressed down on his body; laziness. It was so easy to feel so up here. With his eyes still open, Thornpaw drew in a deep breath, then let it out. A never ending brilliant and shining night. Welcome to Starclan.

there are no more sands in the bottom of this g l a s s emotions move too slow and time moves too_ f a s t_ ++ Only the softest of breezes stirred the quiet of the dark, as the calico she-cat slowly wound her way through a huddle of trees, trailing her tail tip onto the nearest trunk as she passed. Leaf green eyes gazed up into the endless sky, a sky that had seemed so far away and remote when she was alive. Now, though, it was like fog, not on the ground, not high above. The moon was huge and shining, looking as though only a hundred more paces and Camaya would be standing on it. Thus is the beauty of StarClan.
++ There was little to disturb the calm of the grasses and forests; a stream gurgling here, the rustle of a nightbird over there. White paws stepped softly, daintily over the ground, a patched face lowered and scenting the air, looking for company. It had been a while since she had talked to another spirit; she had seen the commotion at the Moon Pool the other night (if StarClan time worked in days and nights), but she had not taken part in the discussion. All it did was add more worries about her living children, far below.
++ Camaya's thoughts were broken by a sigh heard somewhere off to her left. She stopped, turning to peer into the fronds, whiskers alert and ears perked. There-- another spirit, and one that looked a lot like her. "Why hello there, I do not think I have seen you before," she called jovially, sitting down where she was and facing the spirit. Things on earth may be worrisome, but that didn't mean she couldn't have a nice chat with someone in her own world.

Suddenly, there was a presence behind the young tom. Lifting his head, Thornpaw twisted to see said presence; only to see a she-cat glowing much like himself. Putting on a forced smile, Thornpaw waved his tail side to side, and said, "Hello miss. I am Thornpaw. I have not seen you either, but Starclan is a rather large place." The fact that it had to be was depressing a bit.
"May I ask your name, miss?"

there are no more sands in the bottom of this g l a s s emotions move too slow and time moves too_ f a s t_ ++ The calico she-cat smiled at the polite tom, flicking her tail with friendliness before curling it around a front paw like ribbon. Leaf green eyes followed a drifting speck of light as it floated just past her face, before she turned her patched face back to, what was his name, Thornpaw. "Nice to meet you too, I am Camaya," she answered with warmth, a paw kneading the blue tinted grass underneath for a few moments. Finally, someone else to talk to. It seemed as though all the classy souls had left StarClan.
++ A small sneeze tickled at her nose from the tip of a grassblade brushing by her face. In an instant, the blade was pinned down, but only playfully, Camaya releasing it after a few seconds. There was little to do up here anymore, so her entertainments were more kitlike than before, her ears pricked for Thornpaw's response.

A firery shape waded silently through the starry forests of the Silverpelt. His green eyes dimed unlike the bright stars and sighed a breath. StarClan never felt like home. It was an odd feeling but he'd never know any other place he belonged besides SunsetClan. Warily, he passed a boulder shining off into the distance. It seemed so mystical, but he padded on until a familar scent struck his nose along with a less familar one. He walked out into the clearing. "Camaya?" He grunted and his thoughts were comfirmed when he saw the she-cat. Wonder who the apprentice is...

"Camaya," repeated the tom sorrowfully. Then he smiled. "Yes. Nice indeed. It's been lonely. It's funny, actually. Only the souls that die peacefully and have lived a long, full life find peace up here. For the others ..." Thornpaw drifted off. It was obvious by the actions of the she-cat; her entertainment, what became of the cats that were sent here after dying a short and unfulfilled life. They rotted away, their fire not yet extinguished. With nothing exciting to do in Starclan, the stars in the sky in which every kit looks up to and looks forward to their day become more lonely than anyone could ever imagine.
Then a new cat came into the picture. Some new male. Weird how, even after a moon or so of being up here, you meet new cats everyday. "Greetings,"
said Thornpaw, and waved his tail like he had before. "Restless as well?" [/blockquote]
