"And it’s so easy when you’re evil…”
-- Silence is somewhat unsettling to me. It is not that I do not bask in quiet, rather that it just stirs quite a feeling that something is creeping behind me, all around me, lurking, waiting to slaughter me. Ironic is it not, being pursued by ones avid imagination. Perhaps too avid. I was fairly privileged when I was a youth. Once I moved on on without care or need. Death was merely a word for me then, a fascinating word, but a word nonetheless. I suppose I believed myself immortal.
-- Is that simply how it is when you are young? Innocent and carefree? Hmm..sometimes I doubt our-their purity. When we are young, for most of us, we don't bother to think about what effect our words will have on another. And, in my herd at the very least, physical injury was much more common. Anyone who has watched a kit toying with a mouse has justified the action as the kit is just "entertained" by the antics of the mouse and is unable to conceive of the terror and pain being experienced by the mouse, and the kit, therefore, is innocent of any evil intent. Are we any better now?
"I do it all because I'm evil; your tears will suffice as my dues.”
-- The sky was darkening overhead, the full moon glowing brightly, bathing the world in its silver-white light. White stars glittered in the black expanse, glinting along the very edges in red, blue, yellow, or orange. The night was still, quiet, and unnaturally lit: the full moon had an amazing effect on the summer's night air. It never ceased to fascinate the matriarch, the simplistic beauty of a brisk night.
"I pledge my allegiance, to all things dark, and promise on my wowed soul...”
-- Brown feline's voice rose. She shook her head lightly, as if that motion would clear her mind of the thoughts she was reluctant to entertain. Casimir focused her full attention on her words, nurturing her work. A sadistic humour twined with words, marring each syllable with corruption. It was unpleasant, merely a malicious noise. Much like an eager vela she continued with the debauchery of the once innocent evening. Grins of the immoral type leeched upon her face, condemning her to judgment by those with superior rights. She cared not; she could already quite condemned for all that she cared to think.
"And it's so easy when you're evil; this is the life you see.”
-- Casimir’s eyes were unreadable, lunar light reflecting in them, curved into a cruel delight. She moved fluidly as she meandered along, once not hindered by clumsiness. Hoofs placed carefully to avoid sliding on the hidden shale, pillars lifted in time to the rhythm. She laughed softly. It was not on of mirth; more bittersweet and pointed.
-- Oi, how much easier it would be for her nature to in fact be malevolent. In fact, it would be much easier to feel nothing at all. She would not have to be embarrassed at her blunders, nor would her heart break each time she let herself reminisce. Casimir stopped moving, resting her limbs. She let each muscle release the tension she had been holding in, individually. Casi let her nose touch the very tips of the grass. She had a hunch that she would not catch a wink of sleep that night, with her thoughts troubling her so, but it would be more beneficial to at least attempt it.

Can you hear them...
>> Fading light wrapped around tiny spotted paws, new full moon washed as shiny coat, wind carassed ruffled fur. Wraith walked calmly through the darkness of snow and wind, his fur gingerly keeping out the cold. Night whispered to him, thier whispers of past, present, and future, he had long ago stopped tring to keep the voices out. He could hear the screams of pain and smell death in the whisper, he could he claws clashing and voices growling, all this in just the whispers. The whispers contained war... Wraith had told others even his sister, but all they said was that it was his kitten imagination, and so he began to believe them and ignored what he heard. His fur ruffled out against the wind and cold, as he smelled an odd scent...
Can you see them...
>> The new forming shadows cast an uncany feeling to Wraiths soul. He sensed another cat was out here, because of all the wind he could not tell if it was a male or female, or even if it had come from his colony. Wraith looked through some nearby bushes, if you could even call them that, and as a cat sitting by its self, and a scowl on her face. He knew that the cat was a female. "Hello?" He asked cautiously. "Hey are you okay?" he asked still unawaire of who the cat was...

-- Casimir's head jerked up at the young one's words. What was he doing out here in this weather? It was only to be assumed that this was one of her kin. Very few dared to approach the Mountain colony, due to the horrendous weather and often hostile nature of their matriarch. She couldn't help herself; most any feline that approached them during the winter months wasn't purely innocent in their intent.
"Nre'fa-o, young one. What are you doing out here?"
-- The fela said, inflicting kindness into her tone. Casimir stood, eyes half-closed and tearing slightly against the biting wind. She truly disliked the winter. Her fur provided well enough in way of protection, so it was not that she was cold. The weather itself was dry and many misfortunes occurred when the snow began to fall and Hunters were lost while searching for the much needed prey. What made her disliked this season, however, was the dreariness that it brought with it. [/blockquote]

Wraith purred slightly when he saw Casmir's head snap up, all voices left with the nasty wind. Blowing away like petals of a flower in the new dawn of spring. He saw slight surprise on Casmirs face as she laid eyes on his tinyness. Her surprise was not to his surprise because most cats would think that a three month old kitten would be out in such evil weather. Wraith looked down. "Uh, i was uh listening..." He scowled to himself, "i mean well i just wanted to get out of camp for awhile plus my sister was annoying me!!" He paws the powder snow that covored his golden foot. The voices, the screams came to him like a hard brick smashing inside his head. He clinched his teeth to keep from yowling outloud, he just hoped Casmir didnt notice. Everyone had already said it was just his imagination, but he knew better. Her face showed no sign of noticing but he knew her from his short days in the colony. She hid her feeling well... OCC::sorry its kinda short but thats will do i hope have fun maia!!! ^-^*

-- Casimir purred in amusement but held back her more biting words. No doubt, in this situation, they would be of no assistance. He was but a little one, little Wraith. She had the awful feeling that she managed to mar the ego of even the older member of her feeling. Or perhaps it was more of a smug feeling? It was..pleasing to know that she could still get under the skin of those well-hardened against insults- though the ones she tended to favour were rarely used by any one but her. She had no desire for Wraith to dislike her already; although if he had truly heard her..
"Bit of fela trouble already, eh?"
-- She whispered, moving closer to the kit. The chill of the swiftly melting flakes had not affected her so while she had sat still, but now as her pads crunched the crystals as she walked it brought forth a more jolting cold. In the back of her mind, she wondered why it was that she thought it would be a jolly good idea to jaunt out nearing mid-night, while it was snowing none-the-less? Foremost in her thoughts, however, was the indicators that Wraith was hurting. Could it be that he was injured? It would be difficult to properly examine the kit out here.
"We have to get out this cold, little one. Can you, perhaps, walk?" [/blockquote]

The fierce wind blew harder against Wraith pelt, nipping and his skin. He knew he had better be heading back, plus his head ached painfully from the screaming and yowling taking place in it. He saw Casmir walk up to him, shielding him from the wind. He hoped he was hiding his pain well enough until they got back, the whispering always stopped back at the camp. "yeah, i can walk. I can go back by myself if your busy here. I didnt mean to... uh interupt you." he meowed loudly so she could hear over the howling wind. Wraith didnt even know why Casmir was out here, maybe to look for some prey. Hardly, there really wasnt any prey, all of it was either buried underground or frozen on the upper level. All the colonies were starving, and winter wasnt even half over yet. He didnt know how they would survive, in the past winters there was always enough food to barly sustain them, but now...

"No, I will walk you back to camp, Wraith."
-- Casimir's tone indicated that she would allow no argument over this. The Savannah had even spoken his name; a rare thing as she honored their face-names to a point of not saying them unless she so had to. With a creak of her stiff joints she moved forward, slowing her strides so Wraith could keep up with her. Glancing down at him, she purred in amusement. The little one's pelt was as bright as hers against the pallid snow.
"Harar, will these winds ever let up!"
-- She muttered to herself, letting her gaze wander away from Wraith. The snow was almost easy to walk through now...it would not be long before it grew difficult. The heavy clouds hid Meerclar's eye from view; she felt uncomfortable without it's protective light. She looked back to Wraith for a second before making sure the area around her was the one in which she was thinking of. It was.
"Little one, I don't mean to worry you, but we are not likely to make it back to camp in this storm. We can try if you want, but it would be much better if we took shelter near here."
